Electric heating wire is one of the most common heating elements in muffle furnace. Its function is to heat after electrification and convert electric energy into heat energy. Electric heating wire is widely used in many kinds of high temperature muffle furnaces. Therefore, electric heating wire is widely used in medical, chemical, electronic, electrical, metallurgical machinery, ceramic glass processing and other industries.
1. The working principle of electric heating wire is the same as that of other metal heating elements, which is the electrothermal phenomenon of metal after electrification. Electric heating means that the current will generate certain heat and be transmitted by the conductor after it passes through the conductor. 3. The advantage and disadvantage of Fe-Cr-Al alloy electric heating wire are its high operating temperature. The experiment shows that the maximum operating temperature of Fe-Cr-Al alloy electric heating wire can reach 1400 C. Ferro-chromium-aluminium alloy hot wire has long service life, high resistivity, high surface composite, and good oxidation resistance. The disadvantage of Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire is its low strength under high temperature. With the increase of temperature, the plasticity of Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire will increase. That is to say, Fe-Cr-Al alloy hot wire is prone to deformation at high temperature, and it is not easy to repair after deformation.
4. The disadvantage of nickel-chromium alloy electric heating wire is its high strength in high temperature environment, long-term high temperature operation is not easy to deform, and it is not easy to change the structure, and nickel-chromium alloy electric heating wire has good plasticity at room temperature, and the repair after deformation is relatively simple. In addition, nickel-chromium alloy heating wire has high radiation rate, no magnetism, good corrosion resistance and long service life. The disadvantage of nickel-chromium alloy electric heating wire is that the operating temperature can not reach the level of the previous kind of electric heating wire. Nickel is needed in the manufacture of nickel-chromium alloy hot wire. The price of this metal is higher than that of iron, chromium and aluminium. Therefore, the cost of nickel-chromium alloy hot wire is higher, which is not conducive to cost control.
